SOUTHBURY — Lorraine (Wheeler) Mehuren, 95, beloved wife of Earl (Mac) Mehuren, passed away peacefully at the Pomperaug Woods Health Care Center on May 24, 2023.

Lorraine was born on April 1, 1928 in Bloomfield, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late George F. Wheeler.

Lorraine and Mac enjoyed 27 years as snowbirds wintering in Florida, where they made many cherished friendships.

Lorraine is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, her three children, Robert and William Leibold, and Karen Heyde, many nieces and nephews in Maine, and her cherished friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Douglas Wheeler, and sister, Virginia Dachenhausen.

Lorraine's family would like to thank the staff at Pomperaug Woods Health Care Center and Vitas Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion.
