Goshen

–Brianna Ely, 27, Beloit, was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle on Main Street was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at7:59 a.m. May 26.

East Liverpool

— An officer responded on May 14 at 7:48 p.m. to a report of a 2-year-old child who was found walking around 532 Palissey St. The officer made contact with the female who found the child in the alley behind her house who told him she walked with the child in an attempt to find his house, but he did not seem to know where he lived. The officer checked the alley and found a yard with a gate opened at 525 Wedgewood St. and made contact with the resident and told her the child had left the yard and went to a neighbor's house. The child was returned home.

— An officer responded to West 9th Street and Jim Walker Way for a report of a suspected drunk male in the roadway on May 14 at 9:56 a.m. The officer made contact with a male who was not intoxicated but walked with a limp.

— On May 14 at 7:28 p.m. officers responded to a report of a break-in at 1321 St. Clair Ave. A female called to report that Holly Maddocks had broken into her parents’ house and stole items and stood in the driveway threatening her parents. Maddocks was taken into custody for burglary.

— An officer took a complaint on May 14 at 9:58 a.m. of a subject trying to buy items from Gina's Drive Thru with cards that weren't working and walking away with items before purchasing.

— Officers responded to Eutruia Street on May 14 at 4:49 p.m. for a report of a male walking up to houses and trying to speak to residents about gas prices. Officers made contact with the male and told him he was done working for the day and sent him on his way.

— On May 14 at 11:58 a.m. an officer spoke to a female who said she was being harassed by another female by telephone. Officers advised her to text the female to stop contacting her or criminal charges would be issued and to call the police back if the female did not stop contacting her.

— Officers took a report on May 14 at 5:09 p.m. for a female knocking on the door of 437 Thompson Ave., and saying she was a neighbor and asking for a glass of water. The caller said she didn't know the female and was talking to her through the door and when she denied the female a glass of water, she started cursing at her and left.

— On May 14 at 1:29 p.m. officers were dispatched to 1 Daisy Lane for two subjects being outside a vacant house. One person had left before the officers arrived and officers advised the other one to leave the property.

— Officers responded on May 14 at 10:27 p.m. to Lisbon Street for a report of a van parked in the roadway near West 9th Street. Officers did not find the van.

— An officer responded to 2019 Ohio Ave., on May 12 at 12:09 p.m., for a report of theft. A female reported that her lawnmower had been stolen and found in the yard at this address. When the officer tried to make contact with the resident the female stated that she wasn't completely sure the lawnmower was hers. The officer said he would make a report of the stolen mower and if the female could provide proof, it was hers, they could file charges.

— Officers responded on May 12 at 9:42 a.m., to 900 W. 8th St., for a report of suspicious activity. The officer made contact with three males who were told to leave the premises.

— On May 12 at 2:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a child abduction in progress at 215 E. 3rd St. Officers made contact with a male who said his wife has full custody of her grandchild and the father of the child tried to abduct him. After speaking with the grandmother, the officer discovered that she was willingly letting the child into the father's vehicle. Officers informed the male since he wasn't on the custody papers, he has no say in who's car the grandmother lets the child enter.

— An officer assisted the East Liverpool Health Dept., in delivering a notice to 349 Jackman St., on May 12 at 2:15 p.m. The officer was not able to make contact with the resident and placed the letter in the mailbox.

— Officers responded to a report of an overdose at 828 Bradshaw Ave., on May 13 at 7:19 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Thomas Akers, (age not provided) lying on the floor just inside the front door of the residence. While waiting for EMS to arrive an officer began to give Akers, who was unresponsive with labored breathing, a sternum rub. Narcan was administered by EMS. Akers, who had a warrant, was transported to ELCH. The officer requested hospital staff to call the police department when Akers was to be released.

— Officers were dispatched to Gina's Drive Thru for a male and female arguing in an SUV on May 13 at 2:33 p.m. Upon arrival, the SUV was gone. Officers spoke with an employee who said everything was fine and nothing physical happened.

— On May 13 at 3:31 a.m., officers were called to the area of 400 Vine Street for a report of people fighting. Upon arrival, officers witnessed two males talking loudly with one becoming aggressive towards the other. Officers tried to deescalate the situation when the primary intoxicated aggressor identified as Reginald Regel Pugh II refused to listen to the officer's command and tried to leave the scene. He was then placed in restraints while the officers continued investigating. Pugh was placed under arrest and issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

— An officer was dispatched on May 13 at 2:22 p.m., to 1537 Globe St., where the resident reported someone parking in front of her driveway blocking her in. The officer spoke with a male at 1541 Globe St., who said the car belonged to his girlfriend's mother who was only there for five minutes. He was advised to tell his mother-in-law not to block the driveway anymore or she would be cited.

— An officer responded to a domestic dispute at 1013 Bradshaw Ave., on May 13 at 1:13 a.m. The husband was intoxicated, and the wife wanted him to leave the residence. The wife requested they take her husband as he was attempting to start arguments. The officer educated the husband on domestic violence and advised him to stay away from his wife, so he agreed to spend the night on the couch.

— On May 13 at 10:09 a.m., ELCH called the police station to advise that two Indviduals with warrants were about to be released. An officer arrived at the hospital and placed Myron Youngblood, 42, and Thomas Akers, 34, (addresses not provided) under arrest for active warrants and transported both males to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle on May 13 at 3:17 p.m., for someone leaving a pornographic book in a shopping cart.

— On May 13 at 5:55 a.m., officers saw Myron Youngblood, 42, who is known to have an active warrant in the area of College and Walnut streets. Officers arrested him without incident and transported him to the Columbiana County Jail. The jail refused him due to an alleged leg injury caused by his prosthetic leg. He was left on the jail premises parking lot so an ambulance could transport him for treatment.

— An officer was dispatched on May 15 at 3:39 p.m. to the 500 block of College Street for a parking problem. The owner of the vehicle moved it.

— An officer checked the area of River Road on May 15 at 4:06 p.m. after receiving a report of a truck throwing trash in the street. Officer did not find the truck or trash.

— An officer took a report on May 15 at the station from a male who said his life was threatened by a random person he was talking to online. The officer advised him to block the person.

— Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Ephriam Street on May 15 at 10:15 a.m. for a dog complaint. Officers did not make contact with a dog at the address the caller provided.

— Officers were dispatched on May 15 at 2:25 p.m. to the 500 block of College Street for a male kicking the door. The male left before officers arrived.

— Officers were dispatched to Anderson Boulevard on May 15 at 9:32 p.m. for a suspicious vehicle. The officer searched the area but found nothing.

— Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Market Street for a welfare check on May 15 at 1:21 p.m.

— An officer responded on May 15 at 2:52 p.m. to the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue for a male passed out on the steps. The officer did not see anybody.

— An officer responded to the 100 block of Starkey Street on May 15 at 7:45 p.m. for a possible domestic. A female at the residence said she and her boyfriend were just having a verbal dispute.

— On May 15 at 9:55 a.m. an officer spoke to a male who reported that he was being harassed at while at work and wanted a report made.

— On May 15 at 8:41 p.m. an officer was informed by dispatch that a caller had family issues about family members smoking meth. The caller was advised to speak with the drug task force.

— Officers were dispatched on May 15 at 2:41 p.m. to the 400 block of Thompson Avenue for a report of vandalism. The officers spoke with a female who said someone threw a brick through her window.

— On May 15 at 6:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Sparkle Market for a fight about to break out. Upon arrival, officers did not observe any kind of altercation happening.

— Officers responded May 15 to the 2100 block of St. Clair Avenue for a welfare check on a female who was reported to be acting strange. Officers made contact with the female who was fine.

— Officers were dispatched on May 15 at 9:09 p.m. to East Liverpool High School for a report of a disturbance. The caller told officers that a male was banging on doors and yelling for his ex-girlfriend. Officers patted the male down for weapons. He told officers he was at the school to get keys from his wife. Officers found his wife, she handed him the keys and he left.

— An officer on May 15 at 9:28 p.m. spoke to a female at the station who said she just got out of the hospital and heard voices in her head saying the police were looking for her.

— On May 15 at 9:23 p.m., dispatch received a 9-1-1 call of a male yelling that someone was attacking him. Officers went to the location of Shadyside Avenue and West 8th Street where the phone pinged from but were not able to find anyone in distress.

Salem

— Officers responded to the rear of a business in the 1900 block of East State Street at 3:08 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a man sleeping in a dumpster. Officers spoke with the man, who they were familiar with from a prior call at the Salem Regional Medical Center, who advised that he had been released from the center and had nowhere to go. He was transported to the police department to sit in the lobby until arrangements could be made.

— Officers responded to Key Bank at 10:13 p.m. Monday for an alarm. The alarm company advised that a power failure had tripped the alarm system and they wanted officers to make sure that the failure was not caused by a person. Officers checked the building and found it to be secure.

— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 10:04 p.m. Monday to assist Columbiana police with a patient. Officers spoke with Columbiana officers about the matter.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fourteenth Street at 5:36 p.m. Monday for a report of two vehicles that continuously speed on Eastview Drive. Officers spoke with the parents of the two, advising of the complaint. Officers also spoke with the two boys in the presence of their parents.

— Officers responded to a business in the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Monday for a report of a shoplifter. The manager of the business advised a man had walked out of the business with multiple items that were not paid for. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.

— Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Jennings Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Monday for a wellness check. The caller advised that the neighbor's small child was at her residence with nobody else home. All information was gathered and the child was transported to the police department until the mother could be located. Contact was eventually made with the mother who came the to police department and picked up the child. She advised that a family member was supposed to be watching her when she left for her appointment. All information was gathered and the report will be sent to children's services.

— Officers responded to the area of Jennings Avenue and West Fifth Street at 2:13 p.m. Monday for a report of a suspicious man in the area. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.

— Officers on patrol in the 500 block of East Euclid Avenue at 1:06 p.m. Monday observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. Contact was made with the owner who moved the vehicle to a legal spot.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Ridgewood Drive at 12:41 p.m. Monday for a parking complaint. Officers spoke with the owner of the vehicle who advised they would move it.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 12:18 p.m. Monday who had found a set of keys in the public parking lot on the corner of North Ellsworth and State Street.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 10:35 p.m. Monday for a report of a dog at large. The caller advised she was able to leash the dog and would hold it at her residence until the humane officer could get them.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 9:07 a.m. Monday for a report of possible squatters in a vacant residence. The caller advised that when he got to the residence, he noticed the door was ajar. Officers and the caller entered the residence, but nobody was present at that time.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 7:30 a.m. for a report of a dog left inside a vehicle. Officers found the dog not to be in distress.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 6:20 a.m. Monday for a report of an intoxicated driver. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Wellsville

— On May 5 at 2:38 p.m. officers got a call from the drug task force for a vehicle not stopping on state Route 7. An officer noticed the black SUV go past him at a high rate of speed near Pep's Carry-out. The officer pursued the black SUV who tried to pass a semi. When the semi wouldn't let him pass he drove up the side and hit a wall and then jumped out of the vehicle and ran between houses heading toward Main Street. The officer searched the area but did not find him. They then assisted the drug task force in serving a warrant for a residence in the 500 block of 5th Street.

— On May 13 at 1:12 p.m. officers received a call from a postal carrier working his route to report a child approximately 3 to 5 years old was playing in the street and running out in front of vehicles. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Clark Street and observed the child playing on the side of the road with no parents or guardians in sight. After going to the residence where the child told officers he lives, officers noticed the side door to the house wide open. Officers shouted into the house but got no response. The officers, who heard a baby crying, entered the house to find the mother asleep. The mother showed officers an extra lock she put on the door which the child learned how to open. Officers advised her to move the lock higher.

— Officers were dispatched on May 21 at 10:50 a.m. to the 1500 block of Hammond Park Drive after receiving a report that an individual might have passed the night before. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female who said she came over in the morning to tend to her mother and stepfather and her stepfather appeared to be deceased. Officers contacted Life-Team who came on the scene and contacted the county coroner who said leave it to hospice and contacted the assigned hospice nurse who said she was on her way to the residence.

— On May 21 at 10:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Chester Avenue for a hit-skip report. Officers spoke to a male who said someone hit the rear passenger side bumper of his truck, but he wasn't sure when it happened. He suspected either on May 18 or May 19.

— Officers were dispatched to Pep's Carry-out for a report of an individual purchasing items with a fake $100 bill on May 21 at 5:09 p.m. Officers spoke with a female employee who said a male came into the store around 1:50 p.m. and purchased several items with the fake money. She also told officers she didn't realize the money was fake until after she gave the male about $90 back as change and after he left the store. Officers were able to tell the bill was fake and took it as evidence.

— Officers received a call from a female who said her boyfriend was threatening to burn her house down and put his hands on her on May 22 at 6 p.m. She told officers that he had put a pistol to her head and told her to call the cops, that they would be dead before the police got there. Officers advised her to get a protection order.

— On May 24 at 1:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Main Street for a FedEx van side swiping another vehicle

— Officers responded on May 25 at 3:56 to the Wellsville High School parking lot for an accident with no injuries.

— On May 28 at 10:11 p.m., a mother reported her son being defiant and not listening. She told officers the son was leaving the house which he later left and went to his father's.

— Officers were requested to assist the dog warden on June 4, at 5:58 p.m., to a house in the 500 block of 9th street for some kittens that appeared to be malnourished trapped inside the residence. The dog warden with approval entered the house through a window previously broken and retrieved at least six kittens.

Salem

— Officers received a call from the Hanover County Sheriff's Department in Virginia at 3:14 p.m. Wednesday requesting officers check a few locations in the city for a vehicle that was possibly missing. Several areas were checked but the vehicle was not located.

— Officers responded to the Salem hospital at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday to assist hospital staff in getting a patient back into the emergency room. Officers arrived and got the patient back into the hospital without issue.

— Officers responded to a business in the 100 block of West State Street at 9:93 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a woman sitting in a truck with a black eye and blood on her knuckles. The truck was gone when officers arrived.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 8:19 p.m. Tuesday for a report of loud speaking. Officers advised them to keep it down for the night.

— Officers on patrol in the area of South Cunningham Road and East State Street at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday observed a juvenile on the side of the road who advised that while at Walmart earlier he had left an item on the back of the car, and it had fallen off. His aunt advised him that if he walked back to Walmart, she would pick him up halfway. However, due to the aunt not showing up the juvenile started to walk home but was unsure how to get back to his residence. Officers transported the juvenile back home and spoke with the aunt. The guardian was not home at the time, but officers will attempt to follow-up with her.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of North Madison Avenue at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday for a report of loud music. Officers located a vehicle playing loud music in a driveway. The music was not in violation of the city's noise ordinance, so no contact was made.

— Officers spoke to a man by phone at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday for a report of violations of a no contact order. The caller advised his estranged wife had been attempting to contact him despite there being a non-contact order in place from a judge stemming from a prior domestic. The caller didn't want contact made with his wife by officers but wanted the incident documented.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East State Street at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a woman being hit by a car. The woman advised that she was walking past the car wash when she was struck by a vehicle. After a brief investigation it was found that the woman had walked in front of a vehicle leaving the business. No injuries were observed on the woman, and she refused treatment. Officers located the driver and advised him of the issues and what should be done about the incident.
